SOE X Division Field Operations Personal Liability and Damage Waiver

PREAMBLE:

I, , (hereafter referred to as The Undersigned) hereby declare:

1. That I have signed The Official Secrets Act,
2. That I have read and fully understood the following document and by signing my name agree to continue my application for field service assignments despite the warnings in sections (3) and (4) below,
3. "Field service" operations are activities deemed necessary for the Defence of the Realm that may be ordered by the chain of command in accordance with the powers vested in them by the Joint Intelligence Committee and the Cabinet Office. Staff approved for field service operations may from time to time be seconded to work with Police or other emergency services, with the armed forces and with other agencies including (but not limited to) the Secret Intelligence Service, the Security Service and GCHQ. They may also work independently within the SOE Field Operations chain of command.

   SOE X Division ("The Laundry") is responsible for intelligence and active countermeasure operations against a variety of extradimensional predators and threats.

   It is understood that these activities are conducted under the Emergency Powers authorised by the classified Schedule J of the Civil Contingencies Act (2004), and are conditionally exempt from Health and Safety regulatory constraints. The conduct of agents on field service operations is governed by the Armed Forces Act and such agents are subject to military discipline. It is understood that agents have a duty to obey lawful orders and that they may in extremis be given orders that place their life at acute risk.
