About Orbit
Orbit is a leading publisher of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
Established in 1974, Orbit UK is the British publisher of many of the biggest names in these areas, including Iain M Banks, Terry Brooks, Trudi Canavan, Robert Jordan and Tad Williams. We publish approximately 70 titles each year and are the largest Science Fiction and Fantasy imprint in the UK. Orbit UK is an imprint of Little, Brown Book Group.
Orbit US is the new Science Fiction and Fantasy imprint at Hachette Book Group USA. Orbit US publishes across the spectrum of Science Fiction and Fantasy — from action-packed urban fantasy to widescreen space opera; from sweeping epic adventures to near-future thrillers. We publish approximately 40 titles each year from both established and debut authors.
Although we share a name, a website, and are both part of the Hachette Livre group of companies, Orbit UK and Orbit US are separate entities with our own lists of authors. However, we do share a number of authors, and we are particularly excited at the prospect of publishing and marketing books internationally. Both branches of Orbit share the same goal: to publish the most exciting Science Fiction and Fantasy for the widest possible readership.
